Around Atlanta: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at the Fox

Ronald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was playing at the Fox Theatre. So the fam and I (minus little Josephine) went to see it. Yep, we took Langston on a mommy/daddy date, which never happens, and I’m happy we did.

Even before we went, I was excited for Langston to be introduced to the story and songs. I mean, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory is a straight classic. He loved the Oompa Loompas and all the singing and dancing. He was asking me hella questions the entire time. But there were definitely parts that confused and/or scared him (i.e. ripping that one girl apart and those black squirrels). Keep in mind, Langston just turned 3. He really enjoyed it overall though and so did I.

Sunday Funday.

Absolutely love that you all are exposing The Arts to Langston at an early age! Exposure is everything and I can’t wait to see what this does for his spirit, mind and overall development.

Me too. That’s one of my goals as a mother: to expose them to as many art forms and positive experiences as possible.
