Kid’s Birthday Parties

I swear my kids have more of a social life than I do at times. Kid’s birthday parties stay in rotation around here. And at this age, indoor play places reign supreme. It’s a shoeless frenzy. My weekend activities usually include something for the grown ups and something for the babies. I’ll facilitate the fun.

It’s National School Counseling Week

It’s National School Counseling Week…celebrating all of the wonderful things that school counselors do. Shout out to all of my fellow school counselors. You guys really are amazing. Planning the New Year.

Happy New Year friends. I’m getting settled into this energy of 2019 and preparing myself for great things. It’s really all about that preparation. I’m the kind of person that really enjoys having a planner. Making little lists and checking things off….oh baby. So my planner for 2019 is the Simple Elephant. I’ve never used…

5 Tips if You’re Going to Yayoi Kusama’s “Infinity Mirrors”

Infinity Mirrors aka “dot on dots on dots” When I heard Yayoi Kusama was exhibiting work at the High Museum here in Atlanta, I was geeked. I bought tickets for Friday night, figuring it would be a cute date night. I was totally right (as usual/always.) I’m an artist and I really enjoy seeing other…

You Got This: Advocating for a Sick Child.

If you would have told me that I’d be staying in the hospital this here holiday season because my 6 month old daughter was sick, I’d say you were crazy. But that’s exactly what happened last Monday. A visit to urgent care quickly turned into an ambulance ride to CHOA (Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.) Josephine…

Atlanta Nights in a Vintage Collarless Jacket

The semester just ended and I’m finishing up my internship next week. I’m so excited to take a break from school for a few weeks. So when the homie hit me up asking about going out Friday night, it was a yes. Had to make sure the babies were straight at home, but then…bet. Good…

Aubrey and The Three Migos: Final Show in Atlanta

At the Drake and Migos show Sunday night. Big concerts in Atlanta are fun because you can pretty much bet on there being at least one special guest. I mean, it’s Atlanta. So Drake brought out like 50-leven guests: Future, 21 Savage, Lil Yachty, Young Jeezy, Lil Baby, etc.  The show was visually really dope too….

Astroworld: Travis Scott Atlanta Concert

Travis Scott brought Astroworld to Atlanta last night. It was trippy, weirdo vibes and I’m not mad at it.  The show opened with Trippie Redd and Gunna. They were both high energy.  The whole night was basically just a hype-fest with lots of moshing and pyrotechnics. I was supposed to be digging deep into my…

H.E.R. Concert

Made my way to the H.E.R. concert at the Coca-Cola Roxy this past Saturday. The Roxy is a cool venue. If you aren’t already familiar with this artist, you are massively missing out. She’s just so talented and effortlessly cool. My Virginia homie came in town and we made a jam packed day out of…

My Mama Said Happy Halloween

Oh the delight of a homemade Halloween costume that actually works. If you do social media, then you most likely have seen this meme of Cardi B being a sassy black child. Thankfully I am a sassy black woman, so I naturally had all components of this outfit in my closet. Facial expression included. I…
